You will visit the Nature Reserve of Kivach that is famous for its waterfall – the second largest plain waterfall in Europe. You will taste the delicious cuisine of Karelia in a typical Karelian house with local specialties!
Do you love huskies as much as they are loved in Karelia? For thousand years these beautiful and intelligent animals had been used for transportation across the Arctic tundra. Selective breeding had created the ideal sledding dog, perfectly suited to the freezing conditions and a life of hard work. You will visit a farm of huskies and you will enjoy a husky track along the picturesque Shuya river bank in the fabulous pine forest!

Arrival to Petrozavodsk. Meeting with the guide. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Breakfast. Panoramic tour of Petrozavodsk. Visit to the ancient village of Karelia, Kinerma, which was announced the most beautiful village in Russia in 2016. You will see the wooden chapel of the St.Mary the Virgin of Smolensk erected in the 17th century. After the tour through the village, you will have a lunch in a typical Karelian house with local specialties. Return to Petrozavodsk. Accommodation.
Breakfast. Transfer to the island of Kizhi. Excursion to the Open-Air Museum of Wooden Architecture in Kizhi. It is one of the first open-air museums and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Russia. The main attraction of the museum is the Kizhi Pogost, also declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site with its worldfamous Church of the Transfiguration, the bell tower (19th century) and the Church of Intercession. You will learn a lot about the restoration process of the main Church of Kizhi. You will see where and how it is being restored and learn some secrets of Russian traditional wooden church architecture. On the way back we will make a stop near the highest point of Kizhi to enjoy the panoramic view. Lunch. Transfer to Petrozavodsk. Accommodation.
Breakfast. Check-out. Meeting with the guide. Transfer to the husky farm. Meeting with the instructor. You will receive a brief informative tutorial on the safety measures. Visit to the husky farm during which you will get acquainted with sled dogs, and learn some interesting facts about the breed and their character. Afterwards, you will learn how to prepare the husky (sled dogs) and how to operate a sled pulled by them. You will enjoy a 3 km ride along the picturesque Shuya River shore in the fabulous pine forest. Return to the husky farm for a traditional lunch in a tent. After the lunch the instructor will give you an informative session on the snowmobile driving and after a brief practice you will continue with the snowmobile ride. It will cover the distance of 30 km and you will enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the Karelia forest covered with a white blanket of snow. Arrival to the husky farm. Transfer to Petrozavodsk. Arrival to Petrozavodsk. Transfer to the train station or the airport.
