This tour will take you through the two continents – from Europe to Asia and you will discover a lot of traditions and customs of numerous peoples that live in Russia. The itinerary starts with conventional sightseeing of Moscow: city tour, metro, the Kremlin – these are some of the attractions that you will be able to see.
After that you set off for a long journey to the eastern part of the country heading to the mountain chain of the Urals where you first visit one of the cities of the Golden Ring – Vladimir, with its historical Dormition Cathedral and then you will move to Kazan and Ekaterinburg. On your way to discover the city of the two religions where you will see mosques and orthodox temples next to each other, and the city which lies on the natural border of Europe and Asia, you will also visit a couple of interesting towns.

Panoramic city tour, during which you will have an excellent opportunity to learn more about the history of the Russian capital and see its most impressive sights of great historic and cultural value. Red Square, one of the most spacious squares of the world, famous for the Lenin’s Mausoleum and the Saint Basil’s Cathedral, as well as the majestic red brick Kremlin. Visit to the Moscow Metro which covers almost the entire Russian capital. It is one of the most heavily used metro systems in the world. Lunch. Free time. Dinner.
Breakfast. In the morning, visit to the Moscow Kremlin. It is a symbol of the Russian capital and of the entire Russia. This stronghold is the historical, spiritual and political heart of Moscow and the city’s most famous landmark and tourist attraction. Most of the city had been inside the Kremlin walls until the 16th century. Today the Kremlin is the official residence of the Russian President. Lunch. Free time. Dinner.

Breakfast. Panoramic city tour of Vladimir, one of the oldest cities of Russia, founded in 1108. During the visit, you will see the jewels of Russian medieval architecture: the Dormition Cathedral, which was one of the main churches of Russia in the 13-14th centuries, the Cathedral of Saint Demetrius and the famous Golden Gate – the only remaining element of the old city gates. Free time. Lunch. Transfer to Nizhny Novgorod. On the way you will visit the Bogolyubsky Monastery with the famous Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin on the Nerl River, built in the 12th century to commemorate the murdered son of Russian Prince Andrey Bogolyubsky. Arrival to Nizhny Novgorod. Accommodation. Dinner.
Breakfast. Panoramic city tour of Nizhny Novgorod. It was founded at the confluence of two great rivers, the Volga and the Oka, by the Great Prince Yury II of Vladimir, in 1221. During the visit, you will see the Kremlin, the main architectural ensemble of the city that dates back to the 16th century, the Cathedral of Archangel Michael and the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Walk along Pokrovskaya Street. Lunch. Transfer to Yoshkar-Ola. Accommodation. Dinner.
Breakfast. Panoramic city tour of Yoshkar-Ola, the capital of the Mari El Republic. You will visit the National Museum and the equestrian center. Lunch. Transfer to Kazan. Accommodation. Dinner.
Breakfast. Panoramic city tour of Kazan, the ancient capital of the Tartars, located on the banks of the Volga River, currently the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. During the city tour, you will visit the most interesting and ancient historical sites of Kazan: the Old-Tatar Sloboda, the Kaban Lake with its picturesque views, merchant houses, and the old mosque of 18th century. You will hear legends and stories of Tatar people, walk along the old city of Kazan and visit the Monastery, where the miraculous Icon of Our Lady of Kazan is kept. Lunch. Walking excursion to the Kazan Kremlin – the UNESCO World Heritage site, which units two religions – Moslem (the legendary Kuhl Sharif Mosque) and Orthodox (the Annunciation Cathedral). You will also touch the walls of the Söyembikä falling tower. Dinner and transfer to the train station. Departure to Yekaterinburg.
Arrival to Yekaterinburg, the city located on the east-side of the Ural Mountains, which serve as a natural border between Europe and Asia. The city was founded by Vasily Tatischev on the 7th of November, 1723. It was named after the wife of Peter the Great – Yekaterina, who later became Empress Catherine I. Yekaterinburg became an industrial center of the country. After the Russian revolution in 1917 the last Russian Tsar Nicholas II, his wife Alexandra and their children were executed by the Bolsheviks in the Ipatiev House in the city. Lunch. During the city tour you’ll see the neoclassic buildings of the city and the Obelisk on the Border Between Europe and Asia. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation. Dinner.

Visit to the Geological Museum with its amazing collection of the meteorites; “Ganina Yama” – the place where the bodies of the members of the last Russian royal family were thrown after the assassination; the Presidential Center Boris Yeltsin and the panoramic view from the Vysotski Business Center. Lunch. Transfer to the hotel and free evening. Dinner.
