PASKHA

Today Russia celebrates Orthodox Easter and we would like to share with you the recipe of one of the most important dishes on the Easter table – Paskha.
⠀ Each dish of the Bright Holiday carries a certain symbol. Paskha symbolizes the Coffin of the Lord. It is traditionally served in the form of a truncated pyramid often decorated with the letters ХВ (Russian abbreviation which means “Christ is Risen!”).
⠀ In addition to its traditional significance Paskha is very delicious and can be a wonderful dessert!
?You will need:
⠀- 3L milk (2.5%)
⠀- 6 eggs
⠀- 800g sour cream (30%)
⠀- 100g raisins
⠀- 10 teaspoons sugar
⠀- vanilla
⠀- dried orange peel
⠀- 10 grains of cardamom ⠀
Mix sour cream and eggs in a pan and put it on a low flame. Pour milk into the mixture and cook over low flame stirring from time to time (about 40 minutes). When the liquid becomes bluish, the cottage cheese is ready. Now you need to dry and blend it to make softer.
⠀ After that mix the cottage cheese with sugar, vanilla, peel and cardamom. Give it the right form and leave it for the night. In the morning you will have an amazing dessert. ⠀
Enjoy it and Happy Orthodox Easter!✨
