Uzbekistan lies on the ancient Silk Route which led to the cities of #Bukhara y #Samarkand famous for the great wealth and power reflected in the magnificence of their Islamic architecture.
⠀ The Amparus Team visited Uzbekistan in 2017 and it was one of the most amazing trips ever. Local people met us in a really friendly way and willing to acquaint us with their culture and traditions. While walking along the street there you can hear from a passerby: «Welcome to Uzbekistan, dear guest!». If you get lost you can enter any house to ask the way. The citizens’ hospitality impresses really.
⠀ Traditional Uzbek food is another special subject to discuss. Many recipes have centuries-old history and the cooking is accompanied with various rituals which have reached our days.
⠀ The Uzbek cuisine is characterized with wide use of mutton, beef and horse meat. Different regions of the country cook dishes in their own way. The most famous ones are #plov, #shurpa, #dimlama, #buglama, roasted meat, pastry and lepeshka (bread).
