Today is the 9th of May 2020, the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory and we would like to tell you about the amazing movement called the “Immortal Regiment”.
⠀ The main idea of the movement is to preserve in every family the memory of the generation that passed through World War II. The movement was born on the 9th of May 2012 in the Siberian city of Tomsk. That day the column of the Regiment included almost 2000 portraits of veterans and more than 6000 citizens. The initiators of the movement were journalists of the Tomsk media group who were supported by locals.
⠀ During these 8 years thousands of people around the world have joined the Regiment and 2020 is no exception even when we can’t go out of our houses and honor the memory of heroes as before.
We continue to share, remember and be proud because no one is forgotten and nothing is forgotten!
