Jour 1Vilnius

Arrival and transfer to the hotel, accommodation.

Jour 2Vilnius – Trakai – Vilnius

Breakfast. In the morning, panoramic visit of Vilnius, capital of Lithuania. It was declared capital of the state of Lithuania, by the Grand Duke Gediminas. We will see the courtyards of the old University of Vilnius and the Church of St. John (entrance), the tower of the Gediminas Castle, with impressive views of the whole city; the famous “Dawn Gate” and the Amber Gallery. Lunch.

(Half board – free afternoon). In the afternoon, transfer and guided visit to Trakai, the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The Trakai Island Castle is located 27 km amay; it is the most famous and photographed castle in Lithuania. Return to Vilnius. Dinner.

Jour 3Vilnius – Hill of Crosses – Rundale Palace – Riga

Breakfast. Visit to the Hill of Crosses in Siauliai, a sanctuary for many Catholics. The first hundred of crosses were set by the people of the region to honor the dead of the anti-tsarist revolt of 1831. Lunch.

Departure to Rundale. Visit of the Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Dukes of Curlandia. Built in the first half of the 18th century. Arrival in the afternoon at the hotel in Riga. Accommodation.

Jour 4Riga

Breakfast. Panoramic visit of Riga, known as the “Paris of the North”. Riga is the largest of the three Baltic capitals with a population of almost one million inhabitants. Visit to the Riga Central Market, the largest market in the Baltic States and one of the largest in Europe. Visit to the Riga Cathedral (entrance), better known as the Dome, – the largest cathedral in the Baltic countries, the jewel of Gothic architecture built in 1211 closed to the river Daugava. Lunch.

(Half board – free afternoon). In the afternoon, transfer and visit to Jurmala – the most important summer resort of the Baltic countries which is famous for its natural wealth, mild climate, and mineral waters. On the way back to Riga, boat trip on the Daugava river, the largest river flowing through the city of Riga (45 min). Dinner.

Jour 5Riga – Sigulda – Turaida – Gutmanis – Parnu – Tallinn

Breakfast. Departure to Sigulda. Excursion to the Gauja National Park and visit to Sigulda and Turaida – known as the “Latvian Switzerland”. We will see the ruins of the Castle of the Order of the Teutonic Knights, the medieval castle of Turaida, Sigulda’s Local History Museum, Turaida’s tomb, Gutmann’s Cave and the Park Daina, sculptural park dedicated to Latvian folklore. Lunch.

Continue to Pärnu. Sightseeing tour of Pärnu. Located 130 km south of Tallinn, on the shores of the Baltic Sea, it is known as the “summer capital” of Estonia for the great animation that reigns in the city during summer period. Departure to Tallinn. Arrival and overnight at Tallinn hotel.

Day 6Tallinn

Breakfast. City sightseeing tour of Tallinn – a medieval city recognized as the oldest in northern Europe. The old town is a World Heritage Site of UNESCO. We will see the famous towers Pikk Hermann (“Long Hermann”) and Paks Margareeta (“Fat Margaret”), the Town Hall Square and the churches of St. Olaf and St. Nicholas, the Toompea hill, Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral and St.Mary’s Cathedral (also known as Toomkirik) of 1233, the Estonian parliament nestled in the Toompea Castle, the Estonian Art Museum and the Kiek-in-de-Kök tower built in 1475. Lunch.

(Half board – free afternoon). Transfer and visit to the open air Ethnographic Museum “Rocca-al-Mare”. Dinner.

Day 7Tallinn

Half board – day off, buffet breakfast.

All inclusive – day off, buffet breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Optional visit to Helsinki. Morning transfer to Tallinn port to take the express ferry to Helsinki: 07.30 am – 09.30 am (two-hour crossing). Arrival in Helsinki.

Meeting with a guide and panoramic visit of the city of Helsinki, which was established in 1550 and became the capital of Finland in 1812. Transfer to the port at the appointed time. Two-hour cruise. Arrival in Tallinn. Transfer to hotel.

Day 8Tallinn

Breakfast. Check-out and transfer to the airport.
