Day 1 (Friday)KIEV

Arrival in Kiev. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation

Day 2 (Saturday)KIEV

Breakfast. Founded in the late 9th century Kiev is one of the oldest cities of Europe and the cradle of

Slavic civilization and Orthodox Christianity. The morning sightseeing tour introduces us to the history

of the city and all its treasures including St. Vladimir’s Cathedral, Golden Gates, St.Sophia Cathedral, St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery, which we reach by cable car, Independence Square (Maidan), Opera House and St. Andrew’s Cathedral. Visit to St. Sophia Cathedral, one of the most famous monuments of the city and the first Ukrainian site declared World Heritage by the UNESCO.

Day 3 (Sunday)KIEV

Breakfast. Tour to Kievo-Pecherska Lavra Monastery (known also as The Monastery of the Caves). Another UNESCO heritage site in Kiev –

Cave Monastery complex located on the pictorial hills of Dnieper River is one of the most interesting architectural and historical monuments in Ukraine. Lavra was founded in times of Yaroslav the Wise in 11th century and is one of the most ancient monasteries in Old Rus. Till our days this monastery

is still considered one of the most important religious centers of the Christian world. Visit to Pirogovo – an

open air museum that contains over 300 pieces of folk houses brought here from all parts of Ukraine and carefully reassembled, each representing the architecture and life of a specific Ukrainian region. There are more than 40 000 items of household and traditional culture such as costumes, old textiles, embroidery, carpets, ceramics, metal handicrafts, woodwork and glass-ware as well as musical
instruments and paintings.

Breakfast. Check-out and transfer to the airport.
