Itinerary

Day 11Irkutsk – Ulan-Ude

In the morning, transfer to the train station for the train to Ulan-Ude. It is the most beautiful part of the TransSiberian route that goes around Baikal Lake (the planned train is N°2 or N°8). Arrival to Ulan-Ude. Meeting with a local guide at the train station, the half-day tour to the village of Old Believers that is called Tarbagatai, where you will have a lunch with the folklore program. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation.

Day 12Ulan-Ude

Breakfast at the hotel. Panoramic tour of Ulan-Ude and visit to Ivolginsky Datsan (the Buddhist temple located 23 km from the city). Lunch at the local restaurant. Transfer to the train station for the train to Khabarovsk (the planned train is No2 or No8). Night aboard the train.

Day 13Aboard the train

Travelling by train you’ll have the chance to admire the beauty of the Far Eastern nature.

Day 14Khabarovsk

Arrival to Khabarovsk. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

Day 15Khabarovsk

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning sightseeing tour of the city during which you will see Muravyov-Amursky Street (the main street of the city), Lenin Square, Komsomolskaya Square, the Dormition Cathedral, the Khabarovsk Park named after Muravyov-Amursky and the Square of Gloria overlooking the magnificent Amur River, as well as the Transfiguration Cathedral and the seminary. Then you will continue with the boat trip on the Amur River. Lunch at the local restaurant (no guide, no transport). Return to the hotel on your own. Free time. In the afternoon, transfer to the train station for the train to Vladivostok (the planned train is N°6). Night aboard the train.

Day 16Vladivostok

Arrival to Vladivostok. Breakfast at a local cafe and panoramic tour of the city during which you will visit a viewpoint that is called Eagle’s Nest Hill with views towards the city and Zolotoy Rog. You will also see the Central Square, the S-56 Submarine Museum (with entrance fee included), the Triumphal Gates of Nikolai, the St.Andrew’s Chapel, and the Vladivostok Fortress (with entrance fee included). Lunch at the local restaurant. Accommodation at the hotel. Free time. We recommend walking through the pedestrian Admiral Fokin street that ends in the Gulf of Amur (the Japanese Sea).

Day 17Vladivostok

Transfer to the airport.
